About D. R. Web
D. R. Web started in 2002 as a hobby-venture by Dan Cole to build a site to showcase
old highway signs from Alabama and the Southeast. As Dan experimented with some
sites that offer free space, Dan began to catch on to some of the coding and arrangements
of building a simple HTML page. So Dan, a truck driver by trade, began to read and
educate himself on the basics of web design, and thus his first true website,
Dan's Highway Pages was born, and is still up and
running today.
As Dan promoted his new site, mainly among family and friends, a friend of Dan's approached
him about building a trial site for his organization. One was submitted, and the rest is history!
The Award Winning IKF Karate Website was Dan's first venture
outside of the family, and on June 22, 2002, The Award Winning IKF Karate Website
made it's debut, thus officially starting D. R. Web as a viable web design venture.
With Dan's Highway Pages being the anchor and
The Award Winning IKF Karate Website being the lead site,
D. R. Web basically relies on word of mouth for promotion.
D. R. Web has started 2009 off by expanding our services to include record to CD conversion.
D. R. Web offers simple web design, at an affordable rate and now offers record to CD conversion,
at an affordable rate as well. D. R. Web keeps websites simple, with the main
focus of the site to get your message and information out. D. R. Web chooses to stay
simple to offer an inexpensive presence for you on the Internet.
